Wedded to the Enemy
Irish mafia arranged marriage, and Sienne Vega is not here to play. Ronan Callahan is the spare heir who got handed the crown when his brother went to prison — cold, brutal, unapologetically controlling, and absolutely feral about protecting what’s his. Simone Langston is the sheltered weapons-empire princess who walked into enemy territory with her backbone fully intact, and honestly? Good for her. The hate-to-love burn is real here — these two genuinely cannot stand each other at first, and the tension that slowly cracks into something complicated and possessive hits the way it’s supposed to. Fair warning: the darker content lands early and hard — punishment dynamics, forced elements, control that crosses lines — go in with eyes open and triggers checked. But if you’re here for a grumpy, dangerously-soft-for-her-only MMC wrapped in Irish mob chaos and a plot full of twists you won’t see coming, Wedded to the Enemy is your next one-click.

Content Warnings
Ronan uses sex as punishment on multiple occasions — the most extreme scene involves him tying Simone up, using a belt on her, forcing an anal plug, and forcing oral sex while holding her nose until she passes out, then releasing on her face while she's still restrained (non-con, physical assault, degradation, choking/breath restriction, impact play). This happens very early in the book when Simone is a virgin and the scene is graphic and non-consensual in framing. There are further dub-con and coercive sexual dynamics throughout. Outside the sexual content, the book contains mafia violence, murder (Ronan's brother is killed), emotional and psychological abuse particularly from Ronan's father, and deeply misogynistic family dynamics that Simone is forced to navigate. Stockholm syndrome elements develop as the relationship shifts. General violence, threats, and physical assault are woven throughout the mafia plot.
